Ghana Airports Reacts To Death of Passenger at Kotoka
In reaction to the death of one of its guests at the Kotoka International Airport, the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has released a statement (KIA).
The dead landed on United Airlines from Dulles International Airport in Washington on Friday, June 17, 2022, according to GACL.
The traveler subsequently complained of tiredness and respiratory difficulties, and he died as a result.
The tale was initially shared on Facebook by a woman named Emelia Van Eck, and it rapidly went viral, prompting GACL’s administration to respond.
Emeilia’s story of what transpired is below.
At Kotoka’s arrival hall, I see the last 10 minutes of a man’s life.
There was no first-aid equipment, no defibrillator, no oxygen, no assistance, and no medical personnel.
The guy was restless, so a buddy assisted him in sitting, and within 10 minutes, he rolled his eyes and died.
We continued calling for aid, medical assistance, everything, until a nurse appeared with a medical bag
containing paracetamol and plaster.
My heart is shattered.
Could he have been rescued if adequate first aid had been administered?
We have the most costly vehicles and residences in Ghana, but no first-aid kit?
May his spirit find eternal rest.
I hope Ghana Civil Aviation is able to resolve the issue.

“The Ground Handler then provided him a wheelchair,” the complaint said in part, “but he went
unconscious in the arrival hall and got medical assistance but remained unresponsive.”
