Music Is All I Have’ – Gyakie Publicly Proclaims
Jackline Acheampong, well known in showbiz as Gyakie, a young Ghanaian artist, has made a public
announcement.
Her announcement was made on her verified social media profile on the major social media network Twitter, and it has to do with her music profession.
She claims that she does not work a second job and that music is her only source of income.
Her tweet implies that she has no intentions to retire from music and that she would do whatever it takes to
release more bangers and win more accolades.
The text of her post is as follows:
“I don’t have a second job.”
“All I have is music.”
Gyakie recently reflected on the humiliating experience she had when she first performed at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in a blog post (KNUST).
Gyakie made news a few days ago when she revealed what happened to her when she first walked on the stage
to sing while she was still a KNUST student.
In a recent interview with Hitz FM, a renowned Ghanaian radio station, she reflected on the experience and said
she felt inspired to do better at the time.
She said in her submission:
“People have set their sights on a goal, believing that if you can’t perform better with your current song than you did with your last hit, you’re not good enough.”
I don’t believe I’m buried the way Blakk Rasta believes.
The fact that my first performance on the KNUST campus was booed really boosted my confidence.”
