Three people have been prosecuted in Lagos with burning a prostitute to death because she had the Quran
in her apartment.
After being detected with the Holy Quran in her chamber in the Alaba Rago region of Lagos State, the prostitute, Hannah Saliu, was tortured and burned to death.
Abubakar Musa, Sarauta Monsur, and Surajo Yusuf were named as the three suspects in the brutal murder of the victim.
One of the suspects, on the other hand, is believed to have patronized Saliu, paying her N1,000 for the service
and leaving her room after having sex with her.
When the deceased learned that her N5,000 was vanished, she allegedly chased down the customer and accused him of taking her money.
However, the charge quickly devolved into a debate.
The client allegedly summoned his pals to Saliu’s room to look for the missing cash.
During their search, the friends allegedly discovered a quran beneath her pillow.
Saliu was then interrogated about her possession of the Quran and the nature of her work.
Infuriated by the finding, the client and his pals rushed on her, beat her up, and then lit her on fire.
“What occurred was that the girl was a prostitute and a client patronized her. After sleeping with her, the guy
paid N1,000 for her service,” the source said.
“However, when the client was leaving, he took the prostitute’s N5,000, and when she realized her money was
missing, she pursued him down to beg for it.
“The Northerners, who were with the customer who the girl accused of taking her money, inquired whether she
was sure he did.”
As a result, they decided to check her room, where she dealt with her clients.
They discovered a Quran beneath her pillow while inspecting the room and began questioning why she was
using the Quran as a prostitute.
As a result, they began assaulting her; they stabbed her, dragged her outside, and burned her on fire.
“The event occurred in Alaba Rago, which is home to many Northerners.
The girl who was murdered was also from the north.
Their complaint was that she wasn’t supposed to be carrying the Quran because of the nature of her profession.”
